Eternally North

Eternally North - Tillie Cole 3.5 Stars!

Natasha Munro, twenty eight years old English loud 'n' proud Geordie; curvy, fun and a whole load of fab-u-lous. Thought she got it all going, good job, great friend, close family and a loving boyfriend, or so she thought, till she came home one night and found her boyfriend banging his skinny blonde secretary on their on their "prized Italian leather L-shaped sofa"!

Nurssing a broken heart, Natasha and her glittery gay best friend and soul mate, Tink (a.k.a. John), decided they're going to start new and move on a different country, and Calgary Canada it is! (How they land on their decision to go to Calgary, Canada was hilarious.)

Enter Tudor, 31 yrs. old bonafide superstar actor, infamous bad-boy of the big screen. He is six foot three, ridiculously macular in build, stunning green eyes and sports a full body of tattoos..... But stunning as he is, he is also cold and intimidating. He is harbouring a deep secret and has been keeping everyone at arm's length... but is having a hard time staying away from Natasha a.k.a. Tash a.k.a. Wil as Tink would call her (short for Wilbur the pig in Charlottes Web).

MY TAKE:

Natasha's is beautiful and curvy, she is a very confident person but at the same time a little conscious of her weight that makes her insecure but it's not an over the top insecurity but a reasonable one . She is a sweetheart with a bubbly personality. And that's what exactly got Tudor hooked! Though he would act like an ass at times... but Tash can definitely hold her own, which I pretty much love.

When Tudor wouldn't/couldn't tell Tash his secret, I thought it would be one of those that in the end it wasn't such a big deal after all, but surprisingly it's not, I understood Tudor's way of thinking on his way of protecting Tash. But then again, I also think he should have just told her from the start.

Tink has this glittery gay personality or as Tash would describe as "think pink, glitter, unicorns and fabulous"! The things that comes out of his mouth is quit shocking and just hilarious!

The book is very engaging... the comedic exchange between Tash and Tink will keep you entertained, I think it is one of the or the highlight of the book... It is heart-warming.... you will fall in love with Tash and Tudor.

The only thing is... somewhere along the way, it lost it's moment... there was too much going on that made it a longer read and that makes it drag a bit... But then again it did gain back it's momentum towards the end.

All in all, it's a really lovely read.

Written in Tash's POV.
