10+++++++ WRATH STARS

I'm glad the author finally made another book of Wrath and Beth!!! Love it, love it, love it!!! I want more! Their dedication to each other is amazing! It was hot, so romantic, funny, emotional and just enough edginess in the mix.

And reading about Wrath's dad, you can tell where Wrath takes after.

Oh yeah, it's finally Wrath's time to shine again! All hail the King! He is magnificent! And Beth was fabulous!

"Yes, he thought, to survive, one must not be alone.
And one must have a partner of worth."

Trez is such a vampwhore, I wish him his own HEA. And I'm glad to get to know IAm more too, he too needs a worthy partner. Then there's Layla and Xcor, I don't know how their story will proceed, but I'm glad Layla gave him a choice and he chose right. And Abalone, I'm interested about him and his daughter, well more so with his daughter, wonder if she'll be paired off with a brotherhood... wink wink. And I wonder who will give in between Assail and Sola.

Lassiter is so funny..... That ceremony had me laughing and crying at the same time.

There are so many characters now, new and old... But yeah, Wrath and Beth is still my number one favourite couple, the first and always... though I love all of them.

My first mm! lol... It is hot but still just not my thing(the sex part I mean... the lovey dovey part I love).

I love Qhuinn, felt for him... his emotions were just all over and just a little bit too emotional for me but I get the reasons why. But the end result was perfect, loved that he finally belonged. Blay is perfect... they both deserve to be happy. Let's just say, it is a long time coming.

This Xcor needs to go, his a pain in the butt... And Layla's loving the enemy, not good... Then Sola, who has her? I don't know if I like Assail yet., he needs to pick a side. But I loving Iam and Trez... Wonder what Lucas future is going to be too...

I miss the brotherhood so this was a reunion for me... it's been forever since I last read the last one. It doesn't take long for me to pick up on everything though.

So many questions that needs answers... And oh they better not touch Wrath! He and Beth is still by my favourite couple.... though I love them all. ;)

3.5 STARS!

I love Jamie Begley's biker books! Having read the 2 previous book of this series... knowing how the women becomes a member of the biker group, It shouldn't shock the begiebie out of me anymore right? Nope, still does! Plus, that menage de trois/ smorgasbord orgy party they look forward to every Friday?!




But the author knows how to somehow make it work in the story.... that even the innocent of all innocent are easily converted! (Can't wait to read Lily's story.)

Anyway, Knox!!!! I've grown to like Knox from the previous books. Besides that he has huge c*ck cause he is a big man blah blah, lol... his story was just okay for me. He doesn't do love cause obviously there's a history there that you'll know along the way. Anyway, the story starts off with him being framed for murder and he had no choice but be represented by Diamond, whom Knox thinks is a "stone-faced bitch".


Now Diamond, well, I kinda admired her character at the start... she does come out as this stuck-up bitch but inside she's pretty cool... though mentally and emotional scarred.... and hating the biker lifestyle.. she hated the fact that they treat sex casually... seeing it first hand on her own father who once was the president of his own biker group.

This story has the same thing going as the first two of the series, murder mystery, suspense, love-hate romance and hot sex scenes.... I didn't find the story different or it didn't stand out... though it is still quite an entertaining read with Pastor Dean acting like the bikers cupid.... And if you have read the first 2 of the series, there is a mystery there that is solved in this book. So you have to read this... and a snippet of Lily and Shade, that I am so looking forward to!!!!

5++++ STARS!

Team Roth all the way!!!! Yes this is YA but is such a refreshing read and superbly written!!! I highly recommend!

Layla's character is just perfect... a typical teenager... innocent, sweet, caring, loving, stubborn and insecure.... except that she's not a normal teen, she's half demon half gargoyle, how cool is that?! Well it would have been if there weren't all sort of demons after you.... And you are crushing on your longtime childhood friend who can never be more than that... Then meet this "sinfully hot and tattooed" demon and you are raised to believe that all demons are bad... but this particular demon just happens to keep saving her life and showed her a different viewpoint on what she was taught to believe and helped her accept who she is! Crazy right?



So, even if there was that love triangle vibe going, but for moi, it was no contest... Roth tops all!!!! lol.... Though I love Zayne, I love that he is very protective of Layla and I know he loves her... but meh, he had his time... I'm not feeling them as much as Layla and Roth teaming together! Now that's hot! Hot and frustrating in a sweet kinda way....

I can't begin to describe how I enjoyed this read and how I love all three lead characters! Everything and everyone is written to perfection!

I love the mystery that surrounds the story... the surprises.... the emotions, the humours, and those magical scenes on full-on action and suspense. The suspense and action gives you a little bit of Indiana Jones and I, Frankenstein movie put together in this time and age.





This had me laughing, crying, screaming, holding my breath, cheering.... and sighing!

And no, it is not a cliffy, but just the beginning. Though ending left me hopeful. And I really want the next book ASAP.

3.5 Disturbing Stars!


This is me after I’ve read this…






It is one of those, I thought I had it figured out but there was more to it and I didn’t see that coming. If the blurb alone don’t get your attention, the epilogue certainly will… the whole book definitely got my attention though I may have cringed a lot throughout the story. Trying to figure out how I feel about it after and honestly, I still haven’t figured that out yet.



The characters alone are intriguing. I didn’t know what William was really trying to do at first, all I know was he was trying to help them and teach them rules and consequences, and maybe making himself feel better in the process. Realistically, I definitely don’t condone his ways in doing them…. I find it disturbing. Taking in consideration why William is the way he is, broken…. and though my heart goes out to him, still… there’s a huge “still” going on here… it was creepy and he needs help.

Number Thirteen, a.k.a. Emelyn… I thought she was the sanest one amongst all of them and that’s saying a lot. I do admire her fighting spirit. Her thoughts were the ones I find most interesting. So she was falling for her captor and sees him for who he is… but I don’t know, I’m just not so sure. I just couldn’t go there.

So, this is me on the ending…



I’d say the system failed these girls. You don’t just set them off and say “you’re free” and not give them any means of help to get them going right? I felt like they weren’t really given help and choices. Even the psychologist opinion, I’m like, really? Hmmm…. Would Reid have agreed? Hehe…



And I do feel the ending a bit rushed.

The story has me dumbfounded. It is a different read and I find it quite disturbing that I’d need time to process everything and knowing even then, I’d still think that well, it is what it is…. And it certainly made an impression enough that had me thinking even long after I’ve finished reading it…. so that is good!

5 I love Jane Yellowrock STARS!


I always enjoy a awesome storyline that comes together, lots of exploding action and surprises.... mixed with intense emotions! And this is definitely one of those! Jane Yellowrock never disappoints!

In Black Arts, Molly, Jane's best friend that is a witch, goes missing, then more witches were disappearing, plus she is to oversee the security for this "gather", that Leo is organizing.... meaning more Vampire crazies and our sexy and hot heroine is out on full on Jane Yellowrock amazingness!!!!!








Another non-stop action and suspense that will keep your heart pumping... then there's heartwarming moments that melts your heart.... heart-wrenching moments that makes our Jane vulnerable, but only for a moment. Magical scenes that will keep you captivated. And betrayal that I never saw coming. I think it's amazing how the author incorporated the different plot lines involve in one story.

Revelations, Acceptance and Redemption.... Jane has definitely gone a long way. Though her love life is still on borderline zero, ugh... BUT there's hope yet. I'm leaning on Bruiser? If not Leo. I'm definitely done with Rick for hurting Jane, twice!!!!

There are still some questions unanswered, but they will have to deal with that another day, another book, which I will be looking forward to.... The end was perfect. Makes me smile to think that Jane is surrounded by people who cares for her.

Definitely one of my favourite Jane Yellowrock series.

Seriously this is one of these books that leaves the reader with a big smile and a light heart, even hours after they put it down. A funny, romantic and utterly captivating tale with two of the most adorable protagonists, Anne and Mal were an absolute pleasure to read; The author managed to create great chemistry and a solid connection between these two.

We read about Mal in book 1 Lick and he was one of the most endearing characters, so glad to see that the author managed to pair him with an equally endearing and strong woman like Anne who gave him balance. Their relationship starts out as a game but quickly turns into a funny and romantic courtship.

Being in Anne’s head was an absolute hoot! What a wonderful female lead, she was not whiny, weak or broken in-spite of her awful childhood, on the contrary she was stronger because of it. She had her fears and insecurities, but she didn’t let her past dictate her path in life. Her ways in dealing/reacting towards Mal were perfect.




Mal, oh what can we say about Mal , an absolute sweetheart, one of the funniest and hottest male heroes. God the dorky things that came out of his mouth were hilarious.





He just made us laugh from start to finish.







We loved reading about Mal through Anne’s eyes, and how we glimpsed a depth and intensity to him, despite the nonchalant facade he likes to show to the outside world.

Kylie Scott managed to create the most wonderfully satisfying supporting characters, each fascinating in their own way. Well maybe Reece was an annoying pest at times but he didn’t make you feel like you want to throw your kindle against the wall. Can’t wait for Ben and Jimmy stories, these two grow on you in book 2.

One thing we liked about this book are the family dynamics, Mal and his family had a wonderful, touching relationship. Anne was the most wonderful older sister, protective and loving. The friendship between the four members is so strong and love how they have each other’s backs, they acted more like brothers.

A brilliant and superbly written book… made us laugh so hard, tear-up some, and laugh some more. We HIGHLY recommend.

Catching up with some of my favourite paranormal kick-ass/bad-ass heroines.... Jane Yellowrock is definitely that and more! A shape shifter and a skinwalker who will fight if it'll be the last thing she'll do. She kills Big Bad Uglies or BBVs—Big Bad Vamps and works as part time enforcer to Leo Pellissier, the MOC, Master of the City of New Orleans and the entire Southeast USA.

The series deals with vampire politics with Leo often putting Jane in the front line to deal with them. But Jane is one who doesn't back down and lives for danger. I absolutely love her!

Not much going with her love-life which is frustrating. With Leo and Bruiser here fighting for her but still nothing, na-da! Ugh! She should listen to Beast sometimes.. since Beast wants to mate with basically Leo, Bruiser, and Rick, lol.

In this series, Jane is dealing with rogue vampires and they are super vamp, they regenerate and are hard to kill. To top it all, she has to help and protect a desperately ill child that is left in her care.

I love all the action and suspense... I love it when she starts packing weapons on her, I couldn't imagine how she could have all of them in her body and still be agile and comfy... I couldn't care reading about her weapons over and over... but I guess it just shows to prove how much she loves her toys! I also love that now she found a partner and family with Eli and his brother Alex a.k.a. Kid. I love how Eli embraced her as his team, his pack! Just loved it!

5 I LOVE MERCY STARS!


There's just something with the way the author writes Mercy's character that makes me just LOVE her! She doesn't whine and is definitely NOT the damsel in distress type of girl... if only all heroine's are like her. She kicks-ass, full of heart, loyal, considerate and she thinks before she reacts. Plus, I love that she kinda sorta lives for danger.




So, Adam's ex, Christy, is back and is playing her "Oh I'm beautiful...and I'm the perfect stepford wife... boohoo poor me, It's not my fault... " manipulating card!



Gah, stupid bitch need to die!



But our Mercy has more class than to stoop down her level... And just when the bitch thinks she's won... Mercy puts her back in her place! She protects those that is hers, and she's not gonna let anyone hurt them!!! Take that bitch!!!!



And Adam, you really need to put your ex in her place more!

But Christy brought trouble, the ex boyfriend she's running away from is not really human BUT a creature that is killing people in trying to get Christy back! Mercy solution to this problem? Give Christy to the creature!!! Haha!!!! Of course she's kidding (NOT!).



It is, as always, action-packed and suspenseful.... that had my heart pounding and rooting for Mercy.

In this series, you will meet Gary Laughingdog, Mercy's half brother from Coyote. Who seems to be interested in Honey. Honey, btw, surprised me too in this series.

I also loved that Stefan and Samuel made their appearances here too, though not much... but still...

I loved every page, every moment of the book. It is one of those that I really don't want to end! Though I quite agree with some who finds it ended so fast, there's just soooo many things running through my mind, like Tad for example.... And to wait for another year for the next book, well, that's just torture...

Allie and Tristan's story continues... with Allie's news that upped their relationship more... and a ghost of Allie's past that is still haunting her.

I would consider this a light read... non-irritating lead female character, a hot and sexy alpha male. A sweet romance with a little twist and a lot of sex scenes. Though some scenes are just repetitive, and the plot a wee bit predictable. All in all, it was alright... Written on Allie's POV.

4.5 Alex is awesome stars!

THE PLAYERS:

Elyssa, you are killing us! Stand up and fight girl!!!! We get you but you are driving us insane, if you want him, fight, stop leading Alex or Oliver on!





Arianna, you are the evil of all evil…. We still don’t know what is wrong with you, what is your problem? Obviously you are obsessed, insane and pathetic!



Oliver, we admit we never did like you much… and now we only feel sorry for you. But you need to move on!



Cole, grow up, man up and leave Elyssa alone! There is an incident in the book that leads the reader to believe that Cole may have woken up and realized the folly of his actions, unfortunately this is not so.



Alex… We hurt for you! Elyssa is quite lucky… you deserve better!



THE STORY:

Elyssa and Alex’s saga continues with Arianna, the villainous mastermind who she wants Alex for herself... She is not above using any means to get Elyssa to leave Alex or else!

Their story is FRUSTRATING! Reading it made us so angry and yet at the same time were thoroughly captivated, there was this need to keep going in order to find out what happens next.

Most of the time we were getting whiplash by Elyssa… It was exhausting being in her head; There is however a light at the end of the tunnel, where things are finally moving to where we feel they should. However throughout the novel, she was beyond frustrating! At times there is sympathy for her and then my empathy turned into anger at her hypocrisy and weakness. We knew our anger towards her at times was irrational, due to the circumstances that lead her to behave the way she does, just cannot help feeling disappointed in her.

Elyssa~~~“I don’t think there’s anything left to give you. I love you, but right now, love isn’t enough.”~~~

The sign of a good author is the extent in which they can make you feel connected with the character, whether positively or just wish they are cut into a million pieces, the latter is the way we feel towards Arianna- The authors succeeded in making her the most hateful character we have come across.

This book will intrigue you, it will rile you up and it’ll break your heart… It’ll make you fall in love with Alex more. Just like the previous book, the epilogue will suck you in… looking forward for what’s next!

All in all, we say BRILLIANT! Most of the time you are reading this, your feelings will range from frustration to anger coupled with hope. This reads like a soap opera full of intrigue, angst, love and betrayal.

Written in Elyssa and Alex’s POV. The little we get of Alex’s POV will make you admire him so much more, his loyalty and love of Elyssa know no bounds.

4 Intriguing Stars!

Caitlin, a shadow reader, who’s character is stubborn as hell! You can’t blame the girl from not knowing who to believe, specially when the truth hurts. But I love the fight she’s got in her! Yet so lonely, it’s sad. Her POV is both amusing and endearing.

Kane, the hot and sexy master vampire whom Caitlin’s been stalking/chasing after. The more I read his POV, the more I love him.

What I like most about this book is how, in a way, unpredictable the characters are… both driven by their own need for vengeance! Plus, the mind games they played against each other. Loved it!



The plot at play : betrayal, torn trust and loyalties, the all consuming need for vengeance and a prophesy that has yet to unravel.

Loved the ending though I wanted more… there’s so many questions still burning in my head. And though I heard it’s not the end of Caitlin and Kane, the 2nd book is not about them. I don’t know how to feel about that yet…

5 GUT-WRENCHING STARS!

Seraphina, Fredrik’s ex-wife, lover and partner in crime for 2 years has betrayed him and played him for a fool… She is a psychotic, sadistic, cold blooded killer that kills and tortures even the innocent. She reminds me of a rabid dog that needs to be put down.

Fredrik, his past… his love life…. just heartbreaking! Though he is a vicious and sadistic killer himself, he only tortures and kills the guilty ones.

I only feel this pain when the victim is innocent…

His love for Seraphina, beyond!




But don’t get the teaser wrong, this is NOT a love story….NOT N.A., NOT even erotica…. but a but a psychological thriller and suspense, that had me at the edge of my seat. It is dark and gut-wrenching.

In Fredrik’s quest to find Seraphina, he found Cassia instead, his key to drawing Seraphina out and to get more information about Seraphina. But Cassia is innocent, sweet, could not hurt a fly even if her life depended on it person… BUT is also suffering from amnesia…. To top it all, she is in love with Fredrik. My heart reach out for Cassia’s cry for help deep inside…..

While the rest of the cast of In The Company of Killers that we’ve grown to love are back… with the new growing organization lead by Victor.

A window to Fredrik and Seraphina story…..

What I love most about this book is that surprising twist that I never saw coming…. all throughout, something was bugging me and when it was revealed, I was stumped… I felt conflicted, lost, helpless and heartbroken.

I’d wish for a better ending, but then again, it wouldn’t be as perfect as it was.

AMAZINGLY written on multi POV.

If you are one of those that likes to skip to the end… don’t… it’s worth every page.

5 BITTERSWEET STARS!

I didn’t want it to end… and when it did, my mind was still spinning with so much questions and wanting/needing more. It has been a FASCINATING and WONDERFUL ride! It has taken me to another world in another time, holding on to every words that sent my heart soaring!

I love how the emotions are exquisitely described in every moment…





Though I find the story's hold on me at times fluctuates, specially with Mac rumbling on… STILL, it is EPIC in it’s own unique way.

The special moments Mac had with Barrons are just isn’t enough, but then again, who can get enough of Barrons really... Those moments they had though were quite intense and sigh-worthy.







That said…. I say THANK YOU to Ms. Karen Marie Moning for her superb genius.... and to my friends who recommended this read to me.
